December 2009 Western Springs Holiday Party for the YE 2010-11 Inbound Students 2010-11 Outbound Students   October 2009 DG Jim and Kankakee Rotarian Ernie Michaud with 2 Interact students from Hersher High School who were job shadowing for the day. 2009-2010 CLASS OF INBOUND YOUTH EXCHANGE SAILED ON LAKE MICHIGAN SEPTEMBER 2009 THANKS TO THE CHICAGO YACHT CLUB FOR THEIR HELP   The Rotary Club of LaGrange has had a Interact Club at Lyons Township High School since 1995 and participated in Youth Exchange and RYLA for many years.  This year they expanded the work with the Youth in our District by adding a new EarlyAct Club.  Linda Yates, and the Rotary members in LaGrange should be very proud.  Chuck Snyder, District EarlyAct Chairman, was on hand to do the honors. Charter Night for Gurrie Middle School EarlyAct Club was held February 11, 2008 at the Community Bank of Western Springs. The District now has 14 EarlyAct Clubs. Herscher H.S. Interactors participated in Career day the morning of Governor Art`s Visit to the Rotary Club of Kankakee... They also attended the Kankakee Rotary meeting and Presented DG Art with a Tee-shirt from one of their recent projects held at the high school, SLEEP IN A BOX.                                    <Visit the Interact Page> Eliza Cruz, former inbound from Brazil (2003-2004 hosted by Morris Rotary) was chosen to address the students at Grand Rapids in July.  Eliza visited the U.S. for the month and attended Central States-Grand Rapids.  This was her third time attending; 2004 during her exchange year, 2005 when she was here for the International RYLA and worked for Mr. PIn at the International Conventionk, and now in 2007.  Elisa was awarded a Paul Harris by Morris Rotary, she is currently the Secretary of her district`s YE program, and I believe is a Rotaractor.
