Rotary Birthplace Paul Harris Society
The world is far less forbidding for those who have been touched by Rotary Foundation programs. While we Rotarians cannot cure all the world’s woes, we are making a huge difference one person, one village at a time. Rotarians in District 6450 do not have to look far to see our personal blessings as Americans. The world calls on each of us to share our bounty and do what we can to alleviate ills and injustices.
District 6450 Rotarians always answer the call for help, but as Rotarians in the Birthplace of Rotary District, we should be Rotary leaders. Several years ago, Rotarians committed to enhancing the support of the Rotary Foundation formed the first District Paul Harris Society for individuals capable of making annual contributions of at least $1,000. Not many districts have these societies yet, but the concept is catching on. Rotary International’s directors—seeing the value of Paul Harris Societies to Rotary’s humanitarian mission—formally recognized them on July 1, 2006.
If the world’s needs have a place in your heart and you are capable of being a member in this new Society, submit an application now. Consider sharing your bounty with many of our fellow world travelers, for whom bounty is a dream beyond reach.
